LipiFlow uses gentle heat and massage to open blocked oil glands in the eyelids. It is most helpful for people with dry eye caused by clogged glands, and it works for most patients. Many people feel better soon after treatment, and results can last up to one year. (Please book a Dry Eye Clinic visit first before scheduling your first LipiFlow treatment). Location: 5755 Mark Dabling Blvd, Suite 190, Colorado Springs, CO 80919.
BlephEx gently cleans the eyelids and removes buildup. It can help reduce redness, itching, and irritation from blepharitis, or mites, and it can help prevent styes. BlephEx helps control blepharitis but does not cure it. (Please book a Free Dry Eye Clinic visit first before scheduling your first BlephEx treatment). Service location: 5755 Mark Dabling Blvd, Suite 190, Colorado Springs.
Some people need both procedures to treat their dry eyes. Use this option for both at once. (Please book a Dry Eye Clinic visit first before scheduling your first LipiFlow treatment). Location: 5755 Mark Dabling Blvd, Suite 190, Colorado Springs, CO 80919.
Dry eyes and eye allergies are usually chronic and complex. Sometimes progress can be evaluated by phone or video. This is option is helpful for people who live far away..
Punctal plugs are tiny, soft inserts placed where the tear drains out of the eyelids. They help keep tears on the eyes longer so that the eyes stay moist and comfortable. This can reduce dryness, burning, and irritation for people with dry eye.
These are NOT your usual 10 minute doctor visits. I take the time necessary to explain your condition, explain treatment options, advise lifestyle changes and work with you to find the best option(s) for you.

Dry eye and eye allergies can be complicated and frustrating conditions. Nowadays, many regular doctor visits are very short, which often does not give enough time to fully listen, explain the problem, or create the best care plan for each person. Newer and more effective dry eye treatments, such as LipiFlow or BlephEx, are usually not covered by insurance.
I believe patients deserve unhurried care and a strong, trusting relationship with their doctor. My goal is to spend meaningful time with you and focus on your needs, rather than on insurance paperwork, which is what I would have to do if I were to take insurance.
Please note: Medicare patients are required by federal rules to sign a private contract.
At this time, I am unfortunately not able to see Medicaid patients.
You've got nothing to loose. Only comfortable eyes to gain.
